Do I win anything if I get in the top 10?
Yes JMP will be doing many things over the next year to further the reach of the artists on the JMP. The bands at the top of our charts will be the focal point of every new visitor to the JMP. The most important thing that you win is many more fans. We'll also be working with freinds in different areas of the music world (instument makers, cd manufacturers, indie labels, much more) who are going to want you on their side as well. So no specifics, but trust me, if you can rise to the top here, many things are going to come your way in many different forms.

I like some music on the website, how can I get more music from that band?
By joining a bands friends list you will have an open line of communication with them allowing you to get the information or music you need.

How many times can I vote for a song?
You can only vote once for each song. Once you have voted you can not change your vote.

I saw someone cheat and vote more than once for a song...
Our system will not allow a logged in user to vote more than once for a song. If you find they are still cheating, feel free to contact us to let us know.

How are the featured artists chosen?
There will be a number of ways featured artists will be chosen, including chart rankings, new artists, JMP favorites and regional acts based on scenes we are focusing on.

How does my friends list work?
Anyone visiting your band's JMP page can sign up on your friends list. This works as an online mailing list allowing the artist and their more enthusiastic fans to have an open line of communication. It is to your benefit to recruit as many people as possible to this list because this will be a factor in determining chart rankings. Your band's best tool to promote yourselves is word of mouth get as many friends to sign up as you can.

How do I get more votes for my music?
Be active as possible using this site and updating your page. The more you put into this site the more you will get back. Also use the stage and interviews to spread the word of the JMP.

I spotted a bad photo (porn, etc.)...
Please report it, then forward it to Chris King for personal reasons :-)
