ABOUT THE BAND - With over 20 years performance experience, guitarist Dave Paris has been a staple of the Midwest music scene, performing in groups like Mantis, Holy Countdown, Dark Spectacle, Leukos, Vision, and dozens of others.
A private lesson instructor, Dave plays many styles of music including, Rock, Metal, Classical, Praise and Worship, Jazz, Acoustic, Funk, and anything in-between. A June 2004 attendee of Hollywood, California’s Guitar Institute of Technology program, Dave continues to push and refine his technique. These experiences, combined with his extensive knowledge of music theory and improvisation, are openly shared to his students.
Recording experience includes projects with his own groups as well as session work with various artists including Eastern Iowa folk singer Charlie Stone. His playing has been heard internationally on radio, TV, music videos, commercials, and interpretative dance! The Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival has featured the music by his band “Dark Spectacle” for use in their theme songs and events, and his songs have been #1 on MP3.com’s internet charts.
