ABOUT THE BAND - Who is Plan A?
That is the question on the tongues of music fans, club owners, and talent buyers across the southeast. The answer's simple. Plan A is the newest and most infectious pop-rock band on the scene. Now they are ready for you to fall in love with their sound just as so many others have found themselves doing, one show at a time.
Formed in the Spring of 2003, this four piece has found each other, and the Plan A sound, after separately performing in other successful, touring outfits. The band played its debut show June 2003 in their hometown of Knoxville, TN and has since exploded onto several other markets. In addition, the band's first two singles, Behind and My Heart Tonight, have obtained regular rotation on multiple local radio stations. Using the same high energy found at Plan A shows to promote and book themselves, the band is currently supporting its first full length album (produced by Don Coffey, Jr. of Superdrag fame).
So, what is the Plan A sound? The answer is this: The Plan A sound is a driving, melodic, rock sound full of rich harmonies and engaging beats. Plan A has a definite mainstream appeal. Kevin Saylor of the Knoxville News Sentinel raves in a spotlight article covering the new band,
"[Plan A's] promising radio-friendly rock sound is certain to turn heads ...Plan A's horizons are broad indeed."
Why Plan A? The band's answers to that may vary from day to day, but here is the plain truth. After having been involved in the scene with other projects, everyone felt like it was time to get back to the reason they began playing music in the first place. That reason is the pure enjoyment of sharing the music they love with anyone who will listen, Plan A.
