JAKENT has been following his passion and recording Hip Hop music for over 2 years.

ABOUT THE BAND - Combining his immense passion for Hip Hop and writing, Jake Kent began writing music in early 2006, under the artist name JAKENT. JA became more and more serious about his musical pursuits and began recording soon thereafter. JA began working with a musical producer, and after dedicating nearly half a year of work, time, and energy, in the summer of 2006, JA released his debut album: World War III. To his surprise, within a couple of months, the CD had been spread all over Long Island, and JA received positive reviews from friends, peers, and strangers alike. What had started as a personal hobby had developed into a widely circulated CD.

After taking a few months off from recording, JA began working passionately on his next CD in early 2007. After having recorded for over a year, JA focused on developing his rapping and songwriting abilities. On the rapping front, JA focused on improving his delivery and flow. On the songwriting front, JA focused on implementing a more complex multi-syllable rhyme scheme.

JA hopes to release his second album, The Evolution of JA, by early August. He named his album this because he feels he has grown immensely as a rapper and songwriter, and believes that the evolution of his abilities will be overtly evident on his next CD.
