ABOUT THE BAND - Founder and leader of the revolving music and actors troupe The Microscopic Liquid Underground Subway to Oblivion (as well as member of such groups as The Bark The Dog, Eat @ Joes, and The Death and Mr. 97 show) Mr. 97 is no stranger to eclectic music and theatrical live performances. With recordings ranging from hard rock, jazz, to straight electronica Mr. 97 has a history of trying a little of everything.

Now after coming out of a 4 year recording hiatus he’s teamed up with his world class vocalist, television performer, and former studio musician father to create a long planed opus combing his talent for filmic avant-garde soundscapes and an intense passion for traditional American music.

Jazz + Soul = Bionic Arm is not for people who are looking to click through track after track of three chord rock tunes, but for people who want to experience music as much as listen to it. This is the type of album that must be listened to from begging to end with all the lights out.

Prepare for a recording that rivals the White Album or the music of the Residents in sheer eclectic range, but unlike the Residents has a real touch of soul, humor, and top notch musicianship while remaining raw and experimental.

With instrumentation ranging from guitars to Mario Paint (and everything in between) pay special attention to Stay By Me (a psychotic head trip of a tribute 1950’s R&B), The Last I Was Dead (a wistful and longing ukulele ballad), Mood Indigo (a straight take on a Duke Ellington classic), and their over 8 minute blues reinvention of the Ramones song I Wanna Be Sedated.
