Band Members:

Nicholas Camarena (Niculas) -- singer, song writer and composer.

ABOUT THE BAND - The interest in arts and culture was almost never separate to his identity growing up. Earning the Nick name “Hollywood” as a young child because of it.

Marry Helen, and Richard (Nicholas’s parents) both recall Nick wanting to be some kind of performer even as a small child.
“He used to run around outside playing chase by himself, he would roll around on the grass, jump off the porch. I always thought he would become a stunt man”- Richard (Nick’s father recalls).
“Sometimes he would create a scene in his head on the spot, and ask us to play the other roles” -Nick’s mother (Marry Helen) recalls.

The desire of performing arts followed him through out his school days.
One grade school teacher remembers telling Nick after a taped student project commercial performance, “God Nick, I think you’re ready for Hollywood”.
Years after while Nick attended RSA (Roosevelt School of the Arts) a young lady who attended the program while Nick did said “there was no doubt In my mind that he would make it”.

But just like everyone else, Nick also faced the bumps and blocks of challenges through out his life.
As a young child he was manically interested in violent material , that progressed with age.
Had also suffered from a savvier depression that helped lead to his incarceration in Seder Vista (which was a hospital for emotionally challenged teens).
“The time I spent in the hospital helped me refocus on what was truly important to me, and my life.
At that time I thought it was all about getting chicks and looking good. But it helped me refocus on what people say is my gift, and that was music”.

Almost right after being released, Nicholas had re-tapped into his little known knowledge of the keyboard.
Which eventually, became so incredibly good at playing it that he would begin to write his own compositions.
In the year 2004 the debute demo of those compositions (Child-Fire) was released to the public for the very first time.
Almost immediately after Nicholas had begun working on his 2nd album at BMP-which is scheduled to be released sometime early next year.

We asked now 20 year old Nicholas, if he had any advice for people or artist who are emotionally struggling, and this is what he said: “If you’re an artist who is struggling, try to find the one talent in your life that hadn’t changed even through your emotional struggle.
For me it was pretty easy to see that no matter how bad I thought, or how awful of thoughts I was thinking, the one thing that didn’t change was my desire to play music.
If you can find something like that in you, chances are, that’s what you should do.
Sometimes it’s not so much about following your dreams, but making the gift that you have work.”
