ABOUT THE BAND - "A kick to the head". That seems to sum up what today's modern rock scene needs, and on NA’s raw knuckled rager Breakdown... a kick to the head is exactly what front men Threat and Defiant plan to deliver. Hailing from Vancouver BC, NA is an unlikely collision between schooled hip-hoppers and rock and roll musicians. Together, they create a live mash-up that draws influence from a wide range of pioneers -from Public Enemy to NWA, Social Distortion to Black Sabbath. A sinister brew of spitfire raps, haunted melodies, roaring guitars, Heavy Beats and rumbling bass with enough hooks to keep any music fan singing along. Sonically, NA is at one moment a brutal assault to the ears and the next a bittersweet lament. Their musical diversity and positive lyrical message have captured the attention of legendary rapper Kool Kieth and Eric Bobo, percussionist for Cypress Hill and the Beastie Boys, both who make appearances on NA tracks. "We want to be the biggest band on the planet" says Defiant. "We won’t set our goals any lower" adds Threat. A bold statement, but not made in vane. These are words of confidence forged out of their undying urge to bring their music and message to people around the globe. The culmination of NA’s efforts is “The Rise”, a shattering debut that brings feelings of hope and revolution wrapped in bleeding heart guitars and a pounding rhythm section. It's only a matter of time before this startlingly mature freshman effort finds its way into CD players everywhere. With plans for extensive touring throughout North America and the world, it can be assured that NA will deliver that "kick to the head" so uncompromisingly promised.
