ABOUT THE BAND - Kane Hodder is a five-piece, sometimes-indie-rock, sometimes-hardcore, band from Western Washington. Kane Hodder’s energetic live shows have caught the eyes of many in the area. In the past six months, they have been on tour in different parts of the nation, recorded an EP, gotten regular airplay on local radio and have played extensively in the Seattle/Tacoma area, spawning a large following of people. They have shared the same with many well known bands, including Pretty Girls Make Graves, These Arms are Snakes, MXPX, Phantom Planet, Anatomy of a Ghost, Rocky Votolato, Pepper, Brandtson, Park, and many more.<p>
Kane Hodder draws upon influences from both the worlds of music and film. Using this formula, their EP “A Frank Exploration of Voyeurism and Violence”, uses various films to make analogies for and makes studies of violence, hate, war-fare, etc. This EP was recorded by T. Dallas Reed, formerly of the Treepeople, at Temple Sound over the course of five days and was officially released on March 23rd via Cowboy Versus Sailor / Suburban Home Records. However, this is merely the beginning for the Hodder boys, as they will begin recording with T. Dallas Reed in April for a full length to be released in late summer on Cowboy Versus Sailor / Suburban Home Records. Watch for them in June on tour in the Midwest. And in July on the west coast!
