Deville Throttle was founded in the small town of Kerrobert in the spring of 2003. Mark and Mike were best friends with a dream of one day forming a rock band. That spring Tyler was discovered and took the reigns of lead singer. Andy Turnbull soon joined the band as the bassist. “ We put the bass in his hands and that was that, Deville was born.” Deville’s first gig was in front of a hometown crowd at Kerrobert Jam.

In the fall of 2003 they recorded their first demo c.d. entitled “Living Through You”, a six-song compilation of original tracks. After several shows Andy left to pursue his college education. Dustin, an old friend returned home from Victoria to fill the position of bassist. Soon after, Shilo Doetzel joined the band as lead guitar and Deville Throttle was complete. They then went to work writing and composing their own tracks.

Through hard work and countless hours of practice they scored opening gigs for Default and April Wine. The band entered the Molson Rocks Band Wars at Ryly’s in Saskatoon, tying for second with Morally Sound (Saskatoon). This won them a spot on opening night at Craven Rock N’ The Valley 2004. They also played an opening gig for Chrome (Vancouver) and Chunk (Edmonton).

In the fall of 2004, Deville Throttle recorded their second demo. This c.d. is self-titled. After 2 albums and countless shows, Shilo decided to leave the band in December 2004 because of personal issues. Mark then left the drums to fill the roll of lead guitar. A drummer named Joe-el from Kindersley is currently practicing with the band and working his way into a permanent spot with Deville Throttle.
